Norbert A. Kane, Jr., age 83, of Gulfport died Sunday, April 12, 2015 in Gulfport. He was born in Baltimore, MD and was a resident of Gulfport since 1975. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and retired from Civil Service as an electronics technician. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus and a longtime volunteer at Feed My Sheep. He was generous with his time and donations to many charitable organizations.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Kane; and his brother, Robert Kane.
Mr. Kane is survived by his daughter, Rosalie Hendry (Wade) of Gulfport; two sisters, Betty Kane OSF and Patricia Kane OSF; and two grandchildren, Kenneth Cunningham, Jr. and Jacob Kane Reynolds.
Visitation is Thursday, April 16, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Bradford-O’Keefe, O’Neal Road, Gulfport with the Rosary service at 7:30 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial is Friday, April 17, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Gulfport where friends may visit at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery with U.S. Air force honors.
