Norma Mae Wood Slaughter
Age 91 residing in Biloxi was welcomed peacefully into the arms of Jesus with her loving family by her side on Thursday, January 30, 2014.
Mrs. Norma was born on January 15, 1923 in Gallipolis Ohio the youngest of six children. She was a Homemaker, loving wife, mother and grandmother devoting all her time and love to her family. After living most of her life in Clarksburg West Virginia, She and her husband moved to the Mississippi Gulf Coast where they enjoyed the sunshine, beaches and casinos.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ruth and Luther Wood, sisters Willis, Phyllis, Josephine, Lydia, and Henrietta.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years the love of her life, James F. Slaughter, three children Sherry Slaughter, Jerome (Jennifer) Slaughter and William (Charlotte) Slaughter, two grandchildren whom she adored and loved very much Brianna and James. In addition she had 11 nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. and Services will begin at 7:00 p.m. all at the Pass Road Chapel of Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home in Biloxi.
