Oren Dinsmore

Oren A. Dinsmore, age 85, of Gulfport, died Friday, March 30, 2012 in Gulfport. He had been a resident of Gulfport for the past 26 years. He retired from the Coast Guard as Chief Warrant Officer after 32 years of service. He served in Vietnam and Korean War receiving many awards including 2 Bronze Stars. He enjoyed boating and fishing and made it his longtime project of building his own 65 foot vessel which was lost in Hurricane Katrinia. He also maintained K’Teri Apartments in Slidel and Gulfport. He was married 35 years to his wife, Lucille until her passing in February 2012. He loved his family in his own grumpy way and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. The funeral service will be held Thursday, April 5, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Homes, 15th Street Chapel, Gulfport where friends may visit beginning at 1000 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Memorial Gardens in Chalmette, LA at 2:00 p.m. View and sign register book at www.bradfordokeefe.com
