Oscar Wayne Speer

Oscar Wayne ‘Old Dude” Speer, age 80, of Gulfport died Thursday, November 13, 2014 in Gulfport. He was born in Emerson, AR and had been a resident of the Gulf Coast for the past 17 years. He retired as MSgt with the U.S. Air Force after 21 years of service. He was an avid golfer and bowler and loved watching and participating in sports. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a great friend. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jay Speer; a brother, Gerald Speer; and his parents, Leland Pardee and Helon A. Kendall Speer. Mr. Speer is survived by his daughter, Sharen (Robert) Bounds; a son, Robbie Speer; a daughter-in-law, Lori Bell; two granddaughters, Lauren Allison and Kelly Speer Roland; two grandsons, Jeremy Spear and Justin Bounds; several great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and other family and friends.
