Paul “PJ” Lahovitch died peacefully on July 19, 2017 in Gulfport, Mississippi.
He was born in Rochester, New York on December 1, 1945, the only child of the late Joseph H. and Catherine Lahovitch.
He joined the U. S. Air Force in 1964 and proudly served 21 years both abroad and at home. In the 1980’s, he retired to the Mississippi Gulf Coast where he enjoyed cruising in his 1964 Valiant station wagon. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and his passion for cooking and grilling.
He is preceded in death by son Joseph “Joey” Lahovitch.
He is survived and will be missed by family that includes: wife Karen Rachel Anderson, daughters Christina Riley of Tennessee, Catherine (Dexter) Vincent of Bay St Louis, son Paul Lahovitch of Louisiana, and stepdaughters Amelia (Charles) Fiore of North Carolina and Christine (Michael) DeLee of New Orleans, as well as many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday, July 24, 2017 from 9-10am at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home 1726 15th Street, Gulfport, MS. Procession leaving promptly at 10:30am to Biloxi National Cemetery for burial.
