Phillip Edward Floyd, 66, of Greenville, MS, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Providence Hospital.
He was born on August 26, 1949 in Grenada, Mississippi to Christopher Bennett and Mary Louise (Hazzard) Floyd. Phillip was a graduate of Greenville High School and Mississippi College. On July 10, 1970, he married the former Elizabeth Ann Cauley in Greenville. He was employed as an Ag Chemist for 35 years. Phillip was an avid fisherman who enjoyed reading and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and his son, Phillip Eric Floyd.
Phillip is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Cauley Floyd; his daughter, Coadye Floyd Hodges and her husband, Shane of Ocean Springs, MS; two grandchildren, Mary Cauley and Bennett Hodges; his brother, Ronnie Bennett Floyd of Dallas, TX; his sister, Reba Floyd of Grenada, MS; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 502 Jackson Ave., Ocean Springs. Friends may visit at the church from 11:00 a.m. until the service time. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Ocean Springs. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
