Ray Lewis Yenewine, Sr., 81, of Biloxi passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2016.
Ray was a lifetime resident of Biloxi. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and a member of Nativity BVM Catholic Church. He retired from the City of Biloxi after 25 years of service.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Sallie Yenewine; his brother, Frank Yenewine; his sister, Virginia Kersh; and his grandson, Michael Ray Yenewine.
Ray’s survivors include his wife, Jasna Yenewine; his daughters, Denise (Steve) King of Ocean Springs, Cynthia Yenewine of Biloxi, Shannon (Leonard, Jr.) Cooper of Ocean Springs and Sherry (Levi) Peckens of McHenry; his sons, Charles Yenewine of Pascagoula and Ray L. Yenewine, Jr. of Fairhope, AL; and his grandchildren, Hunter and Chloe Cooper, Lilith and Tallulah Peckens, Jared, Reagan and Gabrielle Yenewine.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Nativity BVM Cathedral on Friday, October 21, 2016 at 11:00 am. Friends may visit from 10:00 am until mass time. Interment will follow at Biloxi City Cemetery.
The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
