Mr. Raymond F. "Ray" Vallimont, 79, died Friday, October 2, 2015, in Gulfport. He was born in Erie, PA and had been a resident of the Coast since 1971. He was a U. S. Air Force Veteran with over 20 years of service during which he received many awards and citations. After retiring from the military he was employed with NASA at Stennis Space Center. He later worked off-shore in the oil industry. He taught at the Jeff Davis Campus of MGCCC and later worked with Alcom Electronics Co., Boomtown Casino and Winn Dixie. His chosen field of work was in the computer industry and he held two Master Degrees from USM. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
Mr. Vallimont is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Vallimont; two daughters, Theresa Vallimont and Jeannie Doucet and her husband, Joseph; three grandchildren, Ashley, Zachery and Caleb Doucet; eight sisters and nine brothers.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, 417 Security Square, Gulfport, MS 39507.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, October 7, 2015, at 12:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church where friends may visit one hour before service time. Interment will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery with military honors. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 2511 Pass Road, in Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
