Ms. Rhea Lynn Kennedy, age 31, of Ocean Springs, MS, passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2014. Rhea was a lifelong resident of the coast and a homemaker and devoted mother. She attended St. John's Episcopal Church in Ocean Springs as a child and preteen. For the past year she attended Mosaic Church. She had a strong faith and love for God and enjoyed spending time with her boys and family. She had a great love for her dogs, enjoyed crafts, photography, scrapbooking and going to the beach. Rhea was loved dearly by her family and friends and will be greatly missed. Rhea was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ross and Clara Street, aunt, Sharon Dearden and father, Uriel Ray Kennedy, Jr. Survivors include her boys, Christian Kennedy, Caden Kennedy and Lealynd Kennedy, mother, Marcia Lynn Kennedy, brother, Ian Kenneth Milligan, two half-brothers, Kimothy and Cameron Kennedy, one half-sister, Brianna Cavaco, two aunts, Essie Martin and Mary Elliott and two uncles, Butch Street and Bruce Dearden. Visitation will be on Monday, June 2, from 5:30 pm until 7 pm, with a 7 pm church service, all at St. John's Episcopal Church. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations be made to the Rhea Kennedy Benefit Trust Fund, c/o any Hancock Bank, for the education of her children. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
