Robert Walter “Bobby” Baronich, 77, passed away, July 29, 2014, in Biloxi, surrounded by family. “Bobby B.” as he was often times called, was born, raised, and a life-long resident of Biloxi. Born July 12, 1938, he grew up on “The Point” on Sophie Street in East Biloxi, and continued to live in Biloxi as he married and raised a family there. Bobby had a passion for his family, his heritage, our country, Yankees baseball, photography, and of course conversation over a good cup of coffee. He was a long time member of the Slavic Benevolent Association in Biloxi. Bobby and his wife, Jerry Kay, enjoyed Mardi Gras together, both participating in the court, and he served as King of the Krewe of Athena 1983. After serving his country in the National Guard, Bobby spent the majority of his working years delivering milk for Borden’s and also found a home in the gaming industry at the Biloxi Belle. He was Catholic. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jermaine Kay “Jerry Kay” Baronich; parents, Martin Baronich Sr. and Antonia Jelusich Baronich; and six brothers, James, Martin, Leopold “Poley”, Burnett “Sookie”, Harold, Sr. and Victor “Mitt”. Survivors include his sons, Billy (Lindsey) Baronich and Michael (Angela Lusk) Baronich, of Biloxi; and his grandchildren, Jordan and Jessica Baronich of Denham Springs, LA, Parker Baronich of Biloxi; a brother, Rudolph “Cotton” Baronich, of Jackson; as well as countless nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews who all were so very precious to him. Bobby was a treasure and will be greatly missed by friends and family alike. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, August 5, 2014, at 11:00am at St Michael Catholic Church in Biloxi, with visitation beginning 1 hour prior.
