Robert “Bobby/Freckles” Vaughn, 63, of Vancleave, MS, died Wednesday, May 13, 2015 in Pascagoula.
Mr. Vaughn was a longtime resident of Vancleave and a member of Pipe Welders Local #436. He holds the state record for the largest tomatoes grown for the last five years. Mr. Vaughn was a singer, songwriter and a former minister. He was of the Christian Faith.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd “Skinny” and Winnie Holden Vaughn; his grandson, Cheyenne “Lil’ Man”; his twin brothers; and his mother-in-law, Henrietta Champion.
Mr. Vaughn’s survivors include his wife, Edith Champion Vaughn; his children, Winnie D. Vaughn, Lori Lachelle Vaughn and Robert Daniel Vaughn, all of Vancleave; his step-children, Raven Roach and Tony Roach of Vancleave and Joseph Roach of Escatawpa; his sisters, Janette Gaffin of Vancleave and Liz Vaughn of Nevada; his brothers, Joe “Post” Vaughn, Michael (LeAnne) Vaughn, Dennis (Susan) Vaughn and David (Sherri) Vaughn all of Vancleave; and his grandchildren, Victoria, Austin, Kevin, Dawson, Harley, Faith, Julianna, Shylioh, Shy-a, ShIland, Kayson, Emerson, Clara Joe, Caylee, Conner, Owen, Seth and Chase.
Funeral Services will be held at Ramsay Hills Baptist Church on Monday, May 18, 2015 at 2:00 pm. Friends may visit from 12:00 pm until service time. Interment will follow at the Vaughn Family Cemetery.
