Robert Joseph Dougherty

Robert Joseph Dougherty, age 80 passed away June 29, 2014 in Gulfport. Mr. Dougherty was born December 21, 1933 in Pittsburg, PA to Claire M. and Robert Joseph Dougherty, Sr. Mr. Dougherty served in the US Air Force and after leaving the military, he was an instructor at Keesler Air Force Base for 30 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Susan and a son, Richard. Mr. Dougherty is survived by his wife, Betty V. Moore Dougherty; a son, Ronnie of Saucier; six grandchildren and six step-grandchildren; ten great grandchildren with twins on the way. Visitation will be held Sunday, July 6, 2014 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport. There will be a graveside service on Monday, July 7, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery.
