Robert Gryder

Mr. Robert Lewis “Robby” Gryder, Jr., born June 20, 1958, went to be with his Heavenly Father Saturday, September 14, 2013. He was preceded in death by his father Robert L. Gryder, Sr., his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W.C. Gryder, Jr. and his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Smith. Mr. Gryder is survived by his mother Eloise B. Gryder, wife Jamie, and two children Ember and Trey Gryder all of Biloxi, MS, sister Robin (Scott) Gibson, Wiggins, MS, brother Tommy (Sandy) Gryder, VA, many aunts, uncles, nieces and cousins. Robby graduated from Biloxi High School in 1976 and the University of Mississippi in 1980 and was a member of the M Club. Robby received a BBS in Marketing and used his incredible retail skills at the family business Gryder Shoes. Robby owned The Pet Center at Edgewater Mall as well as co-founded Deckmaster Construction. He served so many customers at various retail stores such as Hobby Lobby and Walgreens, many knew and would ask for him by name. Robby was involved in many Gulf Coast organizations. He was past president of Christmas in April, Vice President of the Edgewater Mall Merchants Association, past president of The Order of Mithras Mardi Gras organization, and a six year Elder at Handsboro Presbyterian Church. Robby loved spending time with his family through his many hobbies of camping, hunting, scuba diving, building model rockets, shooting fireworks, and attending his children’s activities. He never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Robby was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at First Presbyterian Church of Biloxi where friends may visit two hours prior. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers a donation to The Homes of Grace, P.O.
