Robert Paul Winnen

Robert Paul Winnen, 79, of Gulfport died Wednesday, May 14, 2014, in Gulfport. Mr. Winnen was born in Cleveland, Ohio and had been a resident of Gulfport for five years. He was retired from the U. S. Navy and was a Lutheran. A loved father, friend and true American, our chef and bread maker. He made everyone's day brighter when you saw him. Especially the ladies. The many great things he seen through his eyes, reflected through all his pictures. Pops, Dad, Robert, Bob, Mr. Winnen, Sir, forever you will be missed and loved. Our true American hero. We're all blessed to have you in our life. We love you! Mr. Winnen was preceded in death by a daughter, Theresa Winnen; a sister, Judy, and a brother, Richard. Survivors include a daughter, Dawn (Terry) Jaminet of Iverness, FL; three sons, Ronald Paul Winnen of Hemet, CA, Kevin M. (Donna) Winnen and David E. (Sandra) Winnen both of Marysville, CA; a sister, Nita Walden of Arkansas; two brothers, Mike Winnen of Arkansas and Don Winnen of Long Beach, CA; his companion, Faye Smith; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Mr. Winnen will be interred in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific in Honolulu, Hawaii. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, in Gulfport is in charge of arrangements.
