Rodney Dean Hattaway

Rodney Dean Hattaway, 60, of Ocean Springs, passed away after a brief battle with cancer on August 9, 2013. Rodney never met a stranger and leaves a host of friends who will always remember him including Dr. Bob and Bill W. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Joanne L. Strayham. He is survived by his loving wife and his soul mate Kathy Hattaway; his mother, Dorothy Cinnamon. He is also survived by his daughter, Stephanie (Marty) Lynch and sons Rodney Hattaway, Jr. (Shayla) and Bill Strayham (Sharon); two sisters, Sandy McCaslin and Donna Waldrop, and ten grandchildren, Gunner, Gavin, Riley, McKenzie, Logan, Jenna, Christian, Andrew, Liam, and Nate. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home of Ocean Springs is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Jackson County Animal Shelter, 4400 Audubon Drive, Gautier, Mississippi 39553.
