Roy F. "Ricky" Riviere

Mr. Roy F. "Ricky" Riviere, age 69, of Ocean Springs, MS, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2015, in Ocean Springs. Mr. Riviere was a native and lifelong resident of Ocean Springs and a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. He retired from Center Pointe Energy after 37 years. He was a 1964 graduate of Ocean Springs High School where he played football and was a member of the 1964 Football Conference Championship team. Mr. Riviere also attended MS Gulf Coast Community College at Perkinston. He enjoyed fishing and was a member of the Poor Mans Yacht Club and assisted with many fishfry fundraisers to benefit "Bikes for Kids". Mr. Riviere was preceded in death by a son, Mark Riviere, parents, Roy and Beryl Girot Riviere, brother, Ray Riviere and mother-in-law, Audrey Burdine. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Suzanne Burdine Riviere, son, Brian Riviere, sister-in-law, Nancy (Jamey) Boyette, father-in-law, Jerry Burdine and two grandchildren, Austin Riviere and Emily Riviere and their mother, Lisa Riviere. Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 29, from 10 am-12 Noon, with a 12 Noon Mass of Christian Burial, all at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
