Roy W. Swanson

Roy W. Swanson, Sr., age 94, of Flossmoor, Illinois, died Wednesday, November 26, 2014. He was a member of Telephone Pioneers of America and the 362nd Fighter Group Association. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Margaret Hewes Swanson; and 8 brothers and sisters. Mr. Swanson is survived by his daughter, Susan I. Swanson of Flossmoor; and his son, Roy Walter (Sherry) Swanson, Jr. of Freeport, FL. Visitation will be Saturday, December 6, 2014 from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport. A procession will leave the funeral home at 2:00 p.m. going to Evergreen Cemetery, Gulfport for the graveside service at 2:15 P.M. Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior’s Project.
