Roy E. Vaughan of Biloxi was born in Webster County, MS on January 27, 1937 and passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2013 at We Care Hospice in Moss Point.
Roy was a 17 year resident of the MS Gulf Coast after a longtime residency in Grenada. He was an accountant for Rockwell International for 33 years and a MS Army National Guard Veteran. He loved to fish and hunt. Roy was a sharp witty man who loved and cared for others, especially the Mississippi State Bulldogs, his alma mater.
Roy is preceded in death by his parents, J.D. and Margaret Vaughan; and sister, Sally Rodgers.
His survivors include his wife Sue Vaughan; daughters, Jan (Dana) McCracken of Wilson, NC and Susan Gregory of Biloxi, MS; son, Todd (Raquel) Vaughan of Olive Branch, MS; sister, Tricia Cousley of Oxford, MS; brother, John Kenneth Vaughan of Ocean Springs, MS; and four grandchildren, Hannah and Jack McCracken of Wilson, NC and Haley and Katie Gregory of Greenwood, MS.
In lieu of flowers the family would prefer memorials to be made to Lemoyne Blvd. Baptist Church, 15005 Lemoyne Blvd., Biloxi, MS 39532.
Funeral services will be at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home. Friends may visit 11:00 until service time. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at Biloxi National Cemetery.
