Rudolph Charles Thunquist

Rudolph Charles Thunquist, 80, of Biloxi, MS, died Wednesday, December 4, 2012, in Gulfport, MS. Mr. Thunquist was born in Queens, NY and had been a longtime resident of the MS Gulf Coast. He was a U. S. Navy Veteran and retired from Grumman Data Systems after 36 years of service. Upon retirement from Grumman he was employed as an engineer for Stennis Space Center. He enjoyed model shipbuilding and animals and he was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Mr. Thunquist is survived by his wife, Patricia Thunquist; two daughters, Deborah Heylman and Jacqueline Thunquist-Duryea; son Robert Murphy; grandchildren, Daniel Thunquist-Duryea, Christopher Murphy and Bridget Heylman; and niece Dianne Thunquist-Yanosik. Mr. Thunquist will be sent from Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Pass Road, in Biloxi to O.B. Davis Funeral Home, 4839 Neconset Highway, Port Jefferson Station, NY 11776 (phone no. 631-473-0360). for funeral services Sunday, December 9, 2012. Interment will be Monday in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Coram, NY.
