Ruth Catherine Peters Duckworth Noble, 88, former longtime resident of Biloxi passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Manhattan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Jackson, MS.
Mrs. Noble was a longtime member of the Church of the Redeemer in Biloxi and was very involved in Cursillo and the Daughters of the King. She had also been a member of the Pilot Club and Eastern Star. She was a friend to all and will be deeply missed.
Mrs. Noble was preceded in death by her parents, Richard A. Peters and Clara A. Seeliger Peters and her husband, E.B. “Pappy” Noble.
She leaves behind her son Richard Duckworth (Eileen); step children Judy Noble Carlson, E. B. Noble (Donna); grandchildren Sharon Duckworth Purcell, David Duckworth, Patrick Duckworth, Shelly Carlson Winkle, Kevin Noble, Lori Hall (Isaac); and five great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Church of the Redeemer or the American Diabetes Association, 350 W. Woodrow Wilson Drive, Suite 2470, Jackson, MS 39213.
Visitation will be held at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Friday, January 17, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Services will be Saturday, January 18, 2014 at the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer at 2:00 p.m. Friends may visit one hour prior. Interment will follow at Southern Memorial Park.
