Sgt. Ret. John. J. Porche' Jr., USAF

Sgt. Porche’ was a native of Houma, Louisiana and retired from military service 30 November 1962, to accept a position with Tumpane Company, a subcontractor of Boeing International, Turkish Division. There he met and married the love of his life, Kiyment (Kim) Akinay of Istanbul, Turkey. Kim died on 25 November 2013 and is buried at Biloxi National Cemetery where John will join her on 20 January 2015. John leaves a son, John Andrew; a daughter, Donna Maria; two granddaughters; a great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews with special attention to Barbara Porche’ (Kevin) Keller. Sincere thanks to Jeffrey O’Keefe for his friendship and thirty odd years of employment as a funeral director and crematory operator at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Homes, Biloxi, MS; the love and attention of neighbors, James and Tracey, can only be found in a heart of gold and God’s blessing. Thanks of appreciations for the medical attention this past thirty years of Keesler Medical Center, Gentiva Hospice (Kristie, Sara and Lynn) and Komfort Keeper (Debbie, Juanita and Patsy) and their wonderful help to the lives of Mrs. And Sgt. Porche’. Without their knowledge and medical attention their lives would have been greatly shortened. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery with full military honors. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
