Shane Downs

Shane Downs, age 39, died Wednesday, November 6, 2013 in Gulfport. He was a lifelong resident of Gulfport and attended Harrison Central High School. He spent time brewing beer from his own home brewing system and designing and building furniture. He was an avid cook and everyone enjoyed his “gourmet” food. He played guitar and was a member of several bands including “Fangs”, a misfit tribute band. However his most enjoyment came from loving and caring for his family. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ellis and Bernice Smith; and paternal grandmother, Lucille Downs. He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Nicole Downs; two daughters, Summer Downs and Autumn Downs; a son, Tristan Downs; a sister, Tammy Baker; a brother, Daniel Downs; his parents, Danny and Barbara Downs; and his grandfather, Oscar Downs.
