Shirley Gibbs

Mrs. Shirley Gibbs, age 79, of Vancleave, MS, died Sunday, January 5, 2014, in Vancleave. Mrs. Gibbs was a native of California and a resident of the coast for 25 years. She loved animals and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ward Gibbs. Survivors include two daughters, Debbie Christy and Donna Dyer, caregivers, Howard and Madie Cazzell and Karen Vaughn, two half-sisters, Charlene Richie and Sharon Rose Saunders, one half-brother, Stanley Saunders, and one grandchild. The family prefers donations be made to the Jackson County Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 998, Pascagoula, MS 39568. The Vancleave Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
