Shirley E. Wehr

Mrs. Shirley E. Wehr, age 79, of Alexandria, died on Thursday, October 4, 2012. Shirley had a very active religious life and was a very spiritual person. She was a loving mother, devoted grandmother and devoted great- grandmother. Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, MSgt Ret. Earl Wehr and by her sister, Mary Jane “Maisie” Collura. Her survivors include her two sons, Earl Wehr, and his wife, Angela and Hamilton James “H.J.” Wehr; three sisters, Lea “Cookie” Caro, Alise “Mickey” Cummins and Jeanne Englehart; three grandchildren, Vanessa Helverson (Thomas), Marissa Rosenbohm and Karmin Wehr; and one special great-grandson, TAJ Helverson. A visitation will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, October 12, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
