Miss Stephanie Leigh Harper, 46, of Gulfport, MS passed away on Monday, May 12, 2014 at her residence in Gulfport.
Stephanie graduated from USM with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and from LSU with a Master’s Degree in Nursing. She was a Nurse Practitioner employed by Gulfport Memorial Hospital.
Stephanie was a very caring person and she was loved and appreciated by her patients. Her loving spirit carried over into her relationship with her family and friends and her two little dogs, Trixie and Stormy. She was especially attentive to “Mamaw”, her maternal grandmother, Zema Williams, until her death last year at 96 years of age.
Stephanie is preceded in death by her grandparents, Ralph and Ruby Harper; and her brother, Keith Harper.
She is survived by her mother and step-father, Diane and Dr. Edward Ranck of Gautier; her father and step-mother, Robert and Priscilla Harper of Yazoo City; her step-brother, Allen Harrison; and her step-sisters, Catherine Perez and Caroline Newkirk. She also leaves many friends and family to mourn her departure.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be made to Home of Grace, P.O. Box 5009 Vancleave, MS 39565 or to the Campground Baptist Church, 20577 Hwy. 53 Gulfport, MS 39503.
The Memorial Service will be held at the Campground Baptist Church in Saucier on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Friends may visit from 9:30 a.m. until service time.
The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
