Stephen “Steve” D. Coblentz, age 52, has been called home by his Savior. He was a beloved son, father, brother, nephew, uncle and cousin. He was a retired brick mason and a graduate of St. Martin High School.
He was a gentle giant with such compassion for all. Steve loved three things most in life…his Lord Jesus Christ, his only son, Stephen Donald Coblentz II, whom he was so proud of and loved when he talked about him, and life itself. He enjoyed laughing and seeing everyone happy. He loved all his nieces, nephews and little cousins dearly.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Rose Ann Coblentz; and baby sister, Sue Ann Coblentz.
Survivors include his only son, Stephen D. Coblentz II of Lake Charles, LA; his father, Irvin Donald Coblentz; brother, Donald Ray (Dina) Coblentz; sister, Donna Marie (Jeremy) Catalanatto; two nephews, Donnie and Adam; four nieces, Brittney, Anna, Lauren and Olivia; special aunt, Sue A. Adams; best friend, John Gooding; and many beloved cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends who will deeply miss him.
There will be a graveside service with prayer at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at D’Iberville Memorial Park. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
