Teresa Jeane Carter

Teresa Jeane Carter, age 62 and a resident of Vancleave, died on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, in Vancleave. Mrs. Carter was born in Gulfport on February 29, 1952, a Leap Year Baby! She was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family and Chi Chi, her beloved dog. Mrs. Carter also loved to talk and make people laugh. She was an excellent grandmother who loved her grandchildren very much. Mrs. Carter is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas “T.E.” and Mary “Jeane” Lofton; her aunts, Freda Salley and Nan Simpson; and her uncle, Jack Lofton. Her survivors include her husband, John Carter; her daughter, Amanda Anderson (Terrel); her grandchildren, Tristen and Brayden Anderson; her cousins, Larry and Sammy Simpson, Lisa Nye and Beth Davis. Private services will be held at a later date. The Vancleave Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
