Thomas Ford Mizell

CSM Thomas Ford Mizell, US Army Retired, age 81, of Vancleave passed away Friday, August 16, 2013. Mr. Mizell was born in Lucedale, MS and has been a resident of Vancleave, MS for the past 37 years. He was a Vietnam Veteran who retired after 25 years of service. He was stationed at Ft. Sill, OK when he retired and remained in OK until he returned home to MS in 1978. Mr. Mizell is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas J. and Verna Mizell; and brother, D. W. Mizell. Survivors include his wife Christine Mizell; daughter, Beatrix Mizell Ketchum; son, Josef Mizell (Sherri); his “Little Mouse,” Ashley; brother, C. D. Mizell; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family would prefer donations to be made in his memory to a charity of one’s choice. Visitation will be held at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 20, 2013. Graveside service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Biloxi National Cemetery.
