Vada Ruth Hankins

Our precious, loving mother, Mrs. Vada Ruth Hankins of Ocean Springs, MS passed away on Monday, January 21, 2013. She was born in Lamar County, MS on November 15, 1926. She was a resident of Biloxi, MS for many years. She is preceded in death by our loving father, Simmie “Hank” Hankins; her parents, William Bond and Josephine Beach Bond Blanchard; her son, Robert “Bobby” Hankins, Sr.; her baby granddaughter, Hankins Page; her baby great-grandson, Korrigan Slade; her brother, Waldo Bond and her sister, Bobbie N. (Joe) Helm. Mrs. Hankins is survived by her children, Frances (Sidney) Wescovich, Steve Hankins, Sr., Suzanne Kasovich, Dianne (Bookie) Bolin, Rebecca (Stanley) Slade, Ree Nell Hankins, John M. (Jackie) Hankins, J. Micah (Lori) Hankins; seventeen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren; her sisters, Opal (David) Brown, Mary Delia (R.L.) Fayard and Margaret (James) Hebert. Visitation will be on Thursday, January 24, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home. Graveside services will be on Friday, January 25, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in Biloxi City Cemetery.
