Mrs. Velma Fay Blomberg, was called home to eternal rest on Sunday, July 19, 2015. Her life of 77 years was a living example of what it means to be a devoted wife, loving mother and Maw Maw.
Fay was a native Biloxian born November 10, 1937. She attended public school in Biloxi where she graduated from Biloxi Senior High School in 1956. On March 17, 1956, she married Edward Blomberg, before leaving for the service. They were married for 50yrs. She worked at the Harrison county tax assessor’s office for over 17 yrs., retiring in 2006.
Fay was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Blomberg Sr.; and parents, Callie M. Clark and John J. Clark.
Survivors include her daughters, Lee Anna Schram (William) and Patricia Woods both of Gulfport; son, Edward Louis Blomberg Jr. of Ocean Springs; grandchildren, Amanda L. Lewis (Shawn) of Moss Bluff, La., Jana N. McCarver, of Lake Charles, La., Fallon M. Demoruelle of Biloxi, Michael Trahan of Gulfport, John Woods, Alicia L. Capps, Stephanie Woods, Catlin Blackledge (TJ), all of Ocean Springs; thirteen great grandchildren, Samantha Demoruelle , Callie Handler, Michelle Demoruelle, Deon Demoruelle, Donovan Demoruelle, Felicity McCloskey, Luke McCloskey III, Drake Woods, Ethan Capps, Maura Capps, Lynnox Capps, Elliot Capps, Aiden Trahan; and great- great grandchild, Macie Fay Chaddick.
Service will be held at 11:30am on Thursday, July 23, 2015, at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home. Friends may visit from 10:00 – 11:30. Burial will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery.
