Vera Helen Fountain

Miss. Vera Helen Fountain of Biloxi, MS died Saturday, June 18, 2005, in Biloxi. Miss. Fountain was a native and lifelong resident of Biloxi. She was a member of Nativity B.V.M. Cathedral Parish. She worked all her life in ladies ready to wear in management, mostly at Austin's Style Center and Rosenblums. She was active in carnival associations and was a founding member of Bon Vivants and Les Danseuse Carnival Clubs. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hypolite A. and Agnes Latimer Fountain, and a sister, Norita A. Fountain. Survivors include her twin sister, Vivian C. Fountain, of Biloxi and her adopted children, Norman and Joshua Roberts-Fountain. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2005, at Nativity B.V.M. Catholic Cathedral where friends may visit from 9:15 a.m. till service time. Entombment will follow in Southern Memorial Park. The family wishes to thank South MS Hospice and Wal-Mart Pharmacy for the care and services given Miss. Fountain. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations to Nativity B.V.M. Catholic Cathedral, 870 Howard Ave., Biloxi, MS 39530. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
