Veries C. Metz

Mr. Veries C. Metz, age 74, of Ocean Springs, passed Friday, July 11, 2014. Mr. Metz was born in Columbia, SC and served in the US Air Force. He was a member of Washington Avenue Church of Christ. He is preceded in death by his parents, Verias and Marie Metz; sisters, Linda A. Metz and Ina Nelson; and brother, Calvin Metz. Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Annie Metz; children, Sean Metz, Jeneen Metz and David Metz; grandson, Jordan Metz; brothers, Matthew Metz and James Metz; sisters, Lavern Harriett, Nadine Braswell. In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to the American Heart Association, Greater Southeast Affiliate, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 18, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. all at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
