Vernon Morgan, 62, of Biloxi, MS, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and dear friends on October 12, 2012.
Vernon was born in Fredonia, Kansas on September 13,1950 and he served in the Air Force for 23 years and worked civil service for 18 years. Vernon was devoted to the Seventh Day Adventist Church and was an active volunteer for many church functions and for the Special Olympics. He was a man of intelligence and humor with a huge heart and a silly smile that was infectious. He will be dearly missed by family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Aniolina Morgan, his three children, Jennifer, Jeremiah and Joy, his grandchild, Julissa, his two brothers Eldon, Daniel and four sisters, Marilyn, Martha, Tammy and Darla.
A celebration of Vernon's life will be held at the Gulf Coast Seventh Day Adventist Church, 13301 Hwy 67 Biloxi, MS 39532 on October 16, 2012, beginning with Military Funeral Honors Ceremony on the church grounds at 3pm. Family will receive friends in the church sanctuary beginning at 4pm until service time at 6pm. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations may be made to The Gulf Coast Seventh Day Adventist Church, a place close to his heart. The Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O’keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
