Warren L. Mason, Jr., 56, of Biloxi, MS (formerly of Cinnaminson, NJ), died Sunday, March 31, 2013 after a long, courageous battle with cancer. He was born August 20, 1956, in Camden, NJ, to the late Ida Mae Mitton and Warren L. Mason, Sr.
He was a devoted husband and is survived by his beloved wife of thirty three years, Sherrie. He loved his work as the Regional VP of Casino Operations at the Beau Rivage. Warren always considered his team and all those he led as an extension of his family. He was known and loved for his kind heart and unbound charisma. His free spirit and caring soul warmed every room he entered.
Warren started his casino career thirty years ago in Atlantic City, NJ as a dealer. He advanced his career through hard work and dedication to his colleagues and customers, some of who became his closest friends. A graduate of the Jack Binion Institute of Management and one of the founders of the Geo Institute, Warren was also a frequent guest of the Rudi Schiffer radio talk show and lecturer at University of Southern Mississippi’s Department of Casino, Hospitality, and Tourism Management classes. A truly unique person, he had the rare ability to make everyone feel special.
Warren loved playing golf at Fallen Oak, hunting, cheering for his favorite Philadelphia sports teams, and most of all, cherished time with his family and friends.
Losing Warren is an overwhelming loss to everyone that loved, cared, and knew him.
