Wayne Howle Pitalo

Wayne Howle Pitalo, age 61, died Saturday, January 18, 2014 in Gulfport. He was born in Union, MS and was a resident of the Coast for most of his life. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church. He was an offshore superintendent and enjoyed golfing and bike riding. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nick George Pitalo, Jr. and Zell Howle Pitalo; two brothers, Billy Pitalo and Tim Pitalo; and a nephew, Brett Pitalo. He is survived by his wife, Sissy Stevens Pitalo of Long Beach; a step-daughter, Priscillia Cospelich; two sons, Tyler Mathis and Landon Pitalo; three sisters, Theresa Ladner, Gloria Ballard, Patti Mollica; two brothers, Donald Pitalo and John Nick Pitalo; three grandchildren and one on the way; and his very close friends. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, January 23, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church in Gulfport where friends may visit beginning at 9:30 a.m. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport is in charge of arrangements.
