Welton Joseph Ladner

Welton Joseph Ladner, Jr., 77, of Gulfport, passed away March 25, 2014. Welton was born January 8, 1937 in Bay Saint Louis, MS, to the late Welton and Hylda Ladner. He graduated from St. John High School in 1955 and was a parishioner at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. He served his country in the United States Army before working as a carpenter for many years. Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers, Louis, Avel, and Johnny; and his brother-in-law, Bill Taylor. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Annita Ladner; grandchildren, Bobby and Courtney Cobb; and sisters, Barbara (William) Culps and Donna Ladner. He will be cremated according to his wishes, followed by interment at Biloxi National Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the staff of Dunbar Village in Bay St. Louis, MS, and Notre Dame Hospice for their care and compassion.
