Wesley Paul Cook, Sr., 75, of Ocean Springs went home to be with our Lord on Thursday, August 14, 2014. He was born in Biloxi and remained a lifelong resident of the MS Gulf Coast. We love you and miss you so much! You put up a good fight until the end. Wesley served in the submarine division of the US Navy.
Wesley is preceded in death by his parents, Roy Anthony Cook, Sr. and Ruth Arietta Townley-Cook; and his brother, Roy Anthony Cook, Jr.
His survivors include his loving wife of 52 years, Shirley Kovalic-Cook; his children, Michelle (Austin) Woodcock of Sarasota, FL, Teresa (Eddie) Rhodes of D’Iberville, Wesley Paul (Cindy) Cook, Jr. of Vancleave and Melissa (Albert) Husley of Gulfport; his brother, Frank (Mi) Cook; his grandchildren, David, Daniel and Joshua Favre, Jessica Davis (Jimmy) LaBatard, Andi Davis, Jakob Cook, Cameron and Cate Haley, Noah Husley, Zach Carlisle, Savannah Husley, Albert Husley, III, Edward (Rachel) Rhodes and Chris Rhodes; and great-grandchildren, Caleb Favre, Adelyn, Kaydence and Brennan Rhodes and Jaden Ladner.
A Memorial Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Monday, August 18, 2014 at 1:00 pm. Friends may visit from 12:00 pm until mass time.
