William "Billy" Smith

William “Billy” Smith, age 70, of D’Iberville, MS died Wednesday, April 9, 2014 in Biloxi, MS. Billy was born in Brooklyn, NY to Richard and Florence Smith. They moved to D’Iberville, MS in 1964. He and his parents owned the Bavarian Lounge on Brodie Road. He also worked as a cook offshore. Billy is preceded in death by his parents. His survivors include his wife, Diane; a step-son, Andrew Watson (Andrea) Watson of Smithville, OK; his grandchildren; Sierra Holland and Braeden Watson, also of Smithville, OK; and his mother-in-law, Helen Watson of Biloxi. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Paul Pavlov and staff, Dr. Lydia Latour and staff and Deaconess Hospice and staff for their excellent care during his illness. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Billy chose to donate his body to science at the University of Mississippi. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
