William “Billy” Demoruelle, Jr., age 70, of Ocean Springs, died Friday, October 12, 2012.
Billy was born in Biloxi and remained a lifelong resident of the Gulf Coast. He was a US Navy Veteran, a member of the Gulf Coast Running Club, a member of St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church and a diehard Saints fan. He retired from Northrop Grumman after 39 years.
Billy is preceded in death by his father, William “Mackey” Demoruelle; sister, Barbara Demoruelle; father-in-law, Jack Breal; and sister-in-law, Gloria Lessner.
His survivors include his loving wife, Charlene Demoruelle; daughters, Mary Helen (Timm) McKean and Natalie Demoruelle (Joe); grandson, Liam McKean; mother, Gertrude Demoruelle; mother-in-law, Audrey Breal; sisters, Jean Bozeman, Betty (Dennis) Strong, Patti Rutland (Bobby); brothers, Kirk Demoruelle and Bobby (Susan) Demoruelle; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Jackie Cummins (Delma), Dr. Paul Pavlov, Donald Scharr, Jesse Grizzard and the Lunch Bunch.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. Friends may visit two hours prior. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
