Mr. William Foster “Bill” Lowery, 87, died November 23rd, 2014 at his home in Gulfport. He was attended by his family.
Mr. Lowery was born in Hattiesburg, MS on June 29th, 1927. He was a resident of Gulfport since 1962 where he was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lyman.
He was preceded by his wife of fifty-eight years, Melva Fortenberry Lowery; his parents, Leonard S. Lowery and Mattie Lowery Cooley; and a grandson, James Phillip Lowery.
Mr. Lowery is survived by his sister Sammy (Marvin) Green, and his brother James E. Lowery, He is also survived by four daughters, Bevely (Malcolm) Cockrell of Perkinston, Jenny Lowery of South Carolina, Diana (Eddie) Favre of Kiln, Rebecca Lowery of Saucier and three sons, Bennett (Janis) Lowery of San Diego, CA, James (Audrey) Lowery of Saucier and Patrick Lowery.
Mr. Lowery has nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation is Tuesday evening November 25, 2014 from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, O’Neal Road, Gulfport. The funeral service is Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Lyman where friends may call one hour before the service. Graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. at George Street Cemetery, Petal.
