William Henry Missey, 71, passed away Friday, December 29, 2017 in Alvin, TX.
He was born November 23, 1946 to Juanita Flanigan Wilson, and from the age of six, was raised by John Dennis Wilson and Juanita Flanigan Wilson. He is a 1965 graduate of Copperas Cove High School in Copperas Cove, TX. He joined the Navy at the age of 18, immediately after high school graduation. He served for 20 years in the U.S. Navy and retired as Chief E-7, honorably. He received numerous promotions, awards, certificates, and medals during his military career. He officially retired from his Naval career in January 1985, and following his retirement, he went to work in the civilian workforce. He retired for a second time from Lockheed-Martin Corporation in January 2009 as a Senior Field Maintenance Analyst.
Because of Mr. Missey's path throughout life, he was able to travel to many different parts of our world, both domestic and foreign, while at the same time creating a family that loved him dearly and that was afforded the opportunity to see such beautiful places as Italy, Spain, Japan, South Korea, and the majority of the United States of America.
Survivors include his loving wife of 44 years, Marion Grace Missey; his son, Aaron Stuart Missey; his daughter, Colleen Pilar Missey; and his grandchildren, Zaron, Victoria, and Alexandria.
Services will be held Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home. Friends may visit one hour prior. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park.
