Wilma Batton Pierce, 81, of D’Iberville, MS died Friday, January 10, 2014 in Biloxi.
Mrs. Pierce was a loving Christian woman who loved painting, gardening and especially her family. She was loved by all who knew her and will be dearly missed.
Mrs. Pierce is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Maurice D. Pierce, Jr.; her parents, Burras and Louisa Batton; her sisters, Frances Lane, Helen Daughdrill, Dorothy Harrell and Nezell Cluff.
Her survivors include her daughters, Leah (James) Lizana of Latimer, Linda Davis of Wiggins, Donna (Alvin) Sistrunk of Denham Springs, LA, Amy Kennedy of D’Iberville and Elizabeth (Bryan) Cook of D’Iberville; her son, Maurice (Mary) Pierce, III of Wiggins; her sister, Grace Husley of Biloxi; her brother, Burras Batton, Jr. of Lizana; seventeen grandchildren; forty great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at 12:30 p.m. Friends may visit from 11:30 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
