Winnie Ruth Nolan

Winnie Ruth Nolan of Biloxi, died Friday, June 20, 2014 in Gulfport. She was born Sept 30, 1931 in Round Lake, MS and raised in Charleston, Ms. Later she moved to Biloxi where she worked for years as a server at several coast landmarks including Mary Mahoney’s Café, then as an in home caregiver until retiring. Friends and family called her “Billie”. She is preceded in death by her husband, John L.Nolan (Jack), her parents and seven siblings. She is survived by her daughter, Nina Carol Mickel, Gpt. Her granddaughters, Tina Nilges, Saucier, Paula Howard (Chris), Birmingham, Dawn Anderson (Glenn), D’iberville and Misty Frame (Will), Vancleave. 7 great grandsons, 2 great-grand-daughters and 2 great-great grandsons. A visitation will be held Sunday, June 22, 2014 from 3:00PM until 4:30PM at Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home, Pass Rd. Biloxi. The service will follow at 4:30 followed by a Life Celebration. In lieu of flowers the family would prefer donations be made to Women’s Resource Center, 9155 Lorraine Rd, Gpt, MS 39503 Many thanks to the staff at Lakeview Nursing Center who have skillfully and tenderly cared for her for the last 8 years. You have become like family. Thanks also to the doctors and staff at Gulfport,Memorial Hospital and to Gentiva Hospice for caring for her in her final weeks.
