Aaron Micheal Asher

Aaron Micheal Asher departed this earth into the kingdom of God on Tuesday, May 4, 2021. At 31 years old, Aaron had a deep faith in Jesus Christ and he wasn’t scared to throw his religion down on anyone he met. We imagine the reunion in Heaven with his dad, Micheal Lind Asher, involved a boat and an excited conversation about meeting Jesus. If you know Aaron, then you know, most of his conversations and interactions were exciting. He lit up rooms with his smile and commanded attention in whatever suit he chose for the occasion. As a true southerner, Aaron loved being on the water. He liked to fish but just being there was fine too. When he couldn’t be on the water, he made sure to make a drive down the beach. He had that “Island Time” mentality and seemed like he didn’t have a care in the world but what he cared about most was his people. If you were one of his people, you knew it. “Weezy” was dynamic. He had the type of laugh that introduced him before you saw his face in a crowd. Aaron’s brand of kindness extended through Greyhound nation and everywhere he went. After high school, Aaron earned an Associate Degree while working jobs aimed at helping people. His heart overflowed with love for everyone; but, his soul shined with his family. Aaron adored his nieces and nephews and wasn’t opposed to sitting at “the kids table” during the holidays. He was his sisters’ only brother and his mom’s baby, a status he used to his benefit. He is preceded in death by his father, Micheal Lind Asher; and grandparents, Ethel and Penny Cates & Helena and Elvin Asher. Survivors include his mother, Jo Lee Asher; three sisters, Courtney Lee Asher (Darrell), Lindell M. Asher, and Angela G. Bonta (Troy); four aunts; one uncle; two nephews; three nieces; and many wonderful cousins. Visitation for Aaron will be at Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs on Monday, May 10, 2021, from 10:00-11:30am followed by a funeral service at 11:30am. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Ocean Springs. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Aaron Asher.
