Alfred "Al" Moran, age 88, of Biloxi passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018. Al was born in Chicago, Illinois on November 9, 1929. His school years were spent in Green Bay where he caddied for many of the Green Bay Packers including the famous Don Hutson. He graduated from high school in 1948 and went into the US Army in October 1948, and he spent the next 22 years in the army and air force. He retired in 1970 and was employed as district manager for the American Auto Association in Biloxi, until he joined the Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance as an agent. The death of a young daughter in 1973 compelled him to seek other employment, and he was employed by the US Postal Service in Fort Lauderdale, Florida for the next 17 years. He returned to Biloxi in 1990 where he has resided since. He spent many enjoyable days at Sunkist Golf Course and served on the Board of Directors at Sunkist Country Club from 1995-2005.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 33 years Rosemary, his daughter Debbie, his son Michael, step-daughter Cindy, step-son Charles, brother Joseph, and daughter-in-law Susan. Survivors include his son David, his daughter Laura, grandchildren Cynthia, Jessica, David, Anna, Mike, Kerri, Trisha, Jessie, Lisa, and great-grandchildren Chloe, Natasha, Kevin, Emma, and Brayden.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at 12:30 p.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery with military honors. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 2511 Pass Road, in Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
