Andrew “Andy” George Dedicos, age 97, of Gulfport passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021 in Gulfport. He was born December 25, 1923 in New York City, New York. He earned a degree in engineering and served in the U.S. Army having served at the Pentagon during World War II. He owned and operated Angelo’s Restaurant in Gulfport until it closed in 1986. He was a wood turner and member of the Wood Turner’s Guild for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Georgia Dedicos; his wife Martha Xidis Dedicos; and a sister, Kay Fhiaras.
He is survived by a son, Doug Dedicos (Robin); daughter, Andrea Dedicos; grandchildren, Tray Carter, Amber Ardesson, (Bill). Timothy McGill (Jamie), Duffy Bisconti (Allen) Randy White (Marcy) Caleb White (Jennifer); a nephew Greg Fhiaras; and thirteen plus great-grandchildren.
The graveside is Wednesday January 6, 2021 at 12 noon at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Gulfport.
