Ann Marie Hilt of Ocean Springs passed away on October 23, 2021. She was born December 26, 1926 in Herreid, South Dakota.
Ann was a retired teacher who taught elementary grades in the Ocean Springs School District. She served as president of the Fort Maurepas Reading Association and was a member of the Phi Delta Kappa Educational Foundation.
She was a member of St. Elizabeth Seton parish from its beginning in 1975. She was a long-time member of the altar society and choir.
Anne and her husband Frank traveled across the country seeing the sights and visiting relatives and friends. They made a trip to Germany where Ann enjoyed seeing her grandfather’s birthplace.
She is preceded in death by Frank in 2009; her parents, John and Anna Huber; three brothers, Arthur, Leonard, and George; two sisters Laura Libis and Mary Arbach; and daughter-in-law, Torri Hilt.
Survivors include two sons, Paul (Anna) Hilt of Ocean Springs, MS and Neal Hilt of Moselle, MS; two grandchildren, Sarah (Marc) Unrein and Jonathan (Kori) Hilt; and four great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Madelynn Rodriguez, Emily Unrein, and Evangeline Hilt.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 29, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Seton from 10 AM- 11 AM with a funeral service to follow at 11 AM. Interment will be at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Ocean Springs, MS. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is honored to serve the friends and family of Ann Marie Hilt.
