Ann "Millie" Werther

Ann “Millie” Werther, age 80 of Ocean Springs, MS passed away on February 25, 2021. She was born on August 21, 1940 in New Orleans, LA to Thomas and Mildred Heath. Ann was raised in the Irish Channel of New Orleans. She was a graduate of Redemptorist class of 1959 and attended functions with her sorority sisters at every opportunity. Ann traveled the world as an active Navy (submariners) wife and mother of three kids. She was a well-known and loved local artist specializing in unique jewelry design. Ann also loved her poodles. She was very fond of the caring staff of the Lighthouse and Erica’s personal care home. She will always be remembered and missed by her family and friends. Ann was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph Werther; and brothers, Thomas, Maurice, and Edward. She is survived by her three kids, Jennifer (Allen) McAvoy, Janine (Ricky) Danby, and Joseph (Lori) Werther, Jr.; and two grandchildren, Carly Danby and Emily McAvoy. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Ocean Springs, MS. Friends may visit one hour prior.
