Anson Lee "Large" Lindsay

Anson L. Lindsay, age 78, of Gulfport died Friday, August 24, 2018 in Gulfport. He was born in Gulfport and was a lifelong resident and he was a graduate of Gulfport High School. He was a member of the Episcopal church. He was co-owner of Lindsay Mechanical in Gulfport. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Leslie Tassone. He is survived by a daughter, Vanessa Clarke; a son Anson Lindsay, Jr. (Jala); five sisters, Sammie Williams, Judy Stockton (Jim), Caldonia Lindsay, Janie Hockert (Rick), and Laura Rodriguez (Irvin); a brother, Arthur “Goose” Lindsay (Lynn); six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport where friends may visit one hour before the service. The family prefers memorial donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
