Anthony (Tony) Dominic Baricev, age 87, passed away on May 16, 2021.
Born October 22, 1933, he was raised on the point in Biloxi, Mississippi. He was raised in the Catholic faith, St. Michael's Catholic Church. He graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a teaching degree and taught high school at East Central High School in Hurley. He changed careers and retired from Southern Precision Steel Company. His lifetime hobby and favorite pastime was raising chickens. In his later years he relocated to Vancleave, then from there to Amelia's Garden assisted living in Lucedale, where he was cared for by the most wonderful staff. We will be forever thankful for them.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tony and Mary (Jurich) Baricev; and two sisters, Katherine Fiorentini and Jo Marie Soares.
He leaves behind his daughter, Gayla (Tom) McKee and son Paul (Myrna) Baricev; three grandchildren, Shelby (Bucky) Lott, Anthony (Brianna) Baricev and David Baricev; and four great-grandchildren, Maddox and Liam Lott, Asher and Ryker Baricev.
Our father and grandfather will be greatly missed. It's comforting to know he has rejoined his family and is rejoicing for eternity.
Visitation will be on Thursday, May 20, 2021, from 10am until 11am, with an 11am chapel service, all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Southern Memorial Park.
